Washington - Nationals Park

Sunday March 30th 2008 marked the official opening of the new Nationals Park in DC. I was fortunate enough to be assigned to work the game for Stats Inc. An all-access media pass is a good thing indeed and I enjoyed exploring the clubhouses, dugouts & Presidents Club VIP lounge and hanging out on the field for batting practice. After a long climb to the 6th story pressbox, it was time for full team introductions and Bush getting booed. The Nats drew first blood with two in the first, Chipper Jones hit the first dinger, the Braves tied it on a passed ball in the ninth and Ryan "walk-off" Zimmerman sent everyone home happy with a line drive to the Red Porch with two out in the bottom of the ninth. Quite a ballpark and quite an opening night!
